As diverse as his education suggests, Joe Fay is truly exploratory. Starting with Humanities Studies at Loyola University, Chicago IL, to Army Language School for Russian in Monterey, CA, to a BA in Political Science and a Master of Fine Arts from the Michigan State University, Fay’s range of interests fuels a painting style that is exciting, with unique subject matter and perspective. Selected with intention, his landscape paintings capture a journey or moment in time, and rendered in high technique. His tonal approach to color is reminiscent of Arthur Matthews and the 21st century naturalist painters.
Fay’s works find home in private collections worldwide, and public and corporate collections such as Kaiser Permanente Permanent Collection, Hyatt International, Maui HI and the Seattle Art Museum.
