Donna McGinnis was born and raised in Spokane, Washington. She graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Fine Arts.
Her current series of atmospheric landscape paintings were started when she moved to the county of Sonoma about ten years ago. The beauty of her surroundings soon appeared in her artwork along with influences of other places she had traveled. The paintings are of no particular place but an accumulation of her experiences. She enjoys the process of painting and thinks of each painting as a journey, a timeless interlude.
