Chris Grassano is a Northern California wildlife painter, winning awards nationwide for her paintings. Whether a White Kite hovering mid-air, a Red Tail Hawk perching high up in a Sequoia, or the moss and lichen on Serpentine rock where a field mouse huddles, Grassanos paintings take us to new worlds in our own home. She is a storyteller and a naturalist, painting in a style of playful realism. Choosing to paint on vintage library Oak hardwood and clay board, her surfaces couldn’t be more suitable for the honest imaginative scenes and her mindful fastidious brush strokes.
Selected for Art And Animal Kingdom in Bennington, VT. 2008
