Bronze to Foundry!
Jeffrey Van Dyke's new sculpture comes to life! For over seven years Erickson Fine Art Gallery sculptor Jeffrey Van Dyke has sculpted a 6' female nude from a live model using a steel frame and microcrystalline wax. The piece has made it's way to the bronze foundry at Bronze Plus Foundry in Sebastopol, CA to be cast in bronze using the lost wax method. Here are pictures of the piece in wax and the mold-making process. Fabrication, finishing, and patina to follow! Jeffery V
